QUINEBAUG VALLEY SCHOLARSHIPS

WHO CAN APPLY:

  • Residents of Windham County, Connecticut
  • Most scholarships require a minimum 3.0 GPA, select scholarships do not have a GPA requirement
  • New, returning, or graduating and transferring students attending CT State Community College with Quinebaug Valley (Danielson or Willimantic) as their home college.
  • Enrolled in 2 or more classes
  • Self-pay, Financial Aid recipient, or Tuition Free

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

  • Academic Letter of Recommendation (DOWNLOAD FORM HERE)
    Must be a current letter signed by the reference. (Cannot be written by a family member)
  • Character Reference  (DOWNLOAD FORM HERE)
    Must be a current letter signed by the reference. (Cannot be written by a family member)

  • Personal Statement (DOWNLOAD FORM HERE)
    This is a very important part of your application. The scholarship selection committee relies heavily on personal statements to aid in the process. Provide numerous reasons and details as to why you should be chosen for a scholarship. You must reference your financial need and any “yes” responses from the Additional Criteria section on this online application. *Note – the use of AI in the writing of your personal statement is prohibited.
    *Current CT State Community College Quinebaug Valley students who need help with their Personal Statement: click here to make an appointment at the Danielson QV Learning Center. 
    *Willimantic students can click here to make an appointment at the Willimantic QV Learning Center.

  • Official Transcript of Grades
    Official transcripts must be submitted. High School students should submit their in-progress transcripts.
    *Current CT State Community College Quinebaug Valley students can submit a copy of their unofficial transcripts through their myCTState Account.

OTHER MATERIALS

In addition to the above supporting documents, select students must submit the following:

  • Military applicants must provide their DD214
  • Art applicants must submit a portfolio containing 3 – 5 pieces of original art

FINAL SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS

Scholarship applicants must submit all documents, excluding the online application, in ONE packet at either the Danielson or Willimantic campuses.

Danielson – Packets should be turned in at the Student Success Center
